What are Fibroids?
1. Non-cancerous tumours in the muscle of the womb (uterus), also known as Myoma
2. Very common - 1/5 of women of child bearing age
3. Female hormone, estrogen, stimulates growth of fibroids

Presentation
1. Asymptomatic - discovered during routine screening
2. Increase in menstrual flow
3. Pressure symptoms on bladder or bowel
